Nikoleta Makryonitou

After studying at the Oenology TEI (Technological Educational Institute) and the Chef d'Oeuvre school, I worked in a winery, in oenological labs and catering kitchens. My experience has led me to appreciate food producers as their hard work is something to admire more than pass judgement on. I therefore decided to move away from that world and dedicated my time to writing about wine, spirits and gastronomy for the last 10 years. I started from “Kouzina ke Piotita Zois” and IcookGreek and moved on to Gastronomos, Oenochoos, “Zachari ki Alevri”, Taxidia and the FnL Guide.
